This is a special week coming up....we are getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving!
Since my students really love to play games (who doesn't?) I made this fun Thanksgiving Headband game...choose a student to wear the headband, clip a card onto it so they don't see and have the rest of the class gives clues as to what the picture is.

Here's what we planned at our centres:
At our playdough centre, I added fall cookie cutters (acorn, leaves, etc.)
How do you feel today? Create your face using loose parts!
I am thankful for...simple poster with pictures and words that encourage students to write!
You can download this poster for FREE by clicking below!
And since we are speaking so much of what we are thankful for, we created this large class wreath highlighting things we are thankful for!
You can find this activity (and so much more!) in my October Religion pack in my TpT store.
At our small world play, we set up a simple pumpkin patch!
We will be exploring pumpkins and gourds at our Science and Discovery Table.
Let's play "Roll-a-Turkey" at the light table!
You can find this in my "Fun With Dice" pack on TpT (click picture below!)
Since we just wrapped up our sorting unit, I set up this invitation for students to explore sorting bears by size. This is from my Sorting in Kindergarten pack on TpT.
Here is our Thanksgiving card this year - we made this a few years ago and we all love it for the simplicity of it!
You can download this for FREE from this blog post (click HERE).
We are also making this adorable clay turkey! My new teaching partner this year, Ms. Frois, came up with this fun idea!
Can you decorate a turkey using loose parts? I found these large wooden turkey pieces from Dollar Tree!
At our Felt Board Centre, students can attach a coloured feather to the turkey while chanting along!
I made the turkey and feathers from felt but you can also make them with construction paper and attach a piece of Velcro to the back to make it stick to felt!
Download this chant for FREE by clicking below!
In math, we are starting on a new unit - subitizing!
It's a unit full of hands-on games and fun!
You can find everything I'll be using for the next 2 weeks in my Subitizing in Kindergarten pack on TpT.
Here are my weekly plans if you'd like to download!
If you would like the editable version to modify this for your own class click HERE.
The original blank PowerPoint file has been uploaded onto Google Slides but the formatting has changed.
Enjoy the weekend!
